FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q: What is the World Cocoa Foundation? A: The World Cocoa Foundation (WCF) is an international membership foundation that promotes a sustainable cocoa economy by providing cocoa farmers with the tools they need to grow more and better cocoa, market it successfully, and make greater profits. These efforts help increase the supply of cocoa and help guarantee chocolate lovers access to their favorite products.

Global Chocolate and Cocoa Organizations Pledge Humanitarian Support for Cote D’Ivoire Citizens through the World Food ProgrammeThe World Cocoa Foundation (WCF) has joined with other global chocolate and cocoa organizations in a humanitarian relief effort for citizens of Côte D’Ivoire. The “Cocoa Industry Relief Fund for Côte d’Ivoire” is being carried out by the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP). An estimated one million Ivorian citizens have been displaced or impacted by the unrest. WFP is providing emergency relief to citizens in Abidjan and throughout Côte D’Ivoire, as well as to refugees in Liberia and other West Africans states. Along with WCF, the industry groups and associations participating in this humanitarian relief effort include:
